Painting the walls of your home is an excellent way to update your interior and it can be inexpensive. Keeping the cost down on the paint you are purchasing will leave more money for other interior decorating. One of the easiest ways to save money re-decorating is to paint a room yourself. It can cost anywhere from $200-$500 to have one room painted! To me, that’s a stupid amount of money if you can do it yourself!
Ask about oops paints. Most stores, including Home Depot, sell them. They’re gallons of paints that have been returned or paints just mixed and the customer changes his or her mind about the color. One local hardware store we know of sells top-shelf paints that have been returned for $5. That’s $5 a gallon.
