During the warm months, my mission is simple: avoid bug bites whenever possible!! They LOVE me!! When I was a kid, my mom sprayed liberal quantities of OFF bug repellent all over me and it was greasy and smelled gross!! It’s easy to make your own natural mosquito repellent. You can control exactly what goes into the product so you won’t need to worry about any unwanted chemicals.

Another option is to use mosquito repelling incense. Herbs for Repelling Insects: Basil, Bay Leaves, Catnip, Ceder, Citronella, Clover, Eucalyptus, Garlic, Lavender, Lemon Grass, Mint, Pennyroyal, Rosemary and Thyme. But I have also found this recipe from attainable-sustainable.net: neem seed oil, olive oil, coconut oil and citronella essential oil. Head there via the link below for the full instructions!
