Creative Uses for Your Potato Masher

My potato masher is actually used for other things way more than its used for mashing potatoes. Breaking up ground meat and breaking down tomatoes (canned whole or cherry tomatoes in the pot mainly) are its primary directives. I have always used my potato masher to smash berries and/or other ripe fruits for making jams, jellies or butters. It makes the job go faster and finishes with more uniform ‘chunks’ with little to no mess.
