Even when it seems that the roof is falling in–or the floor is opening up beneath you–there are often simple ways to solve larger problems on your own. Your roof is the most important part of your house. A roof leak will quickly destroy your home and turn it into a rotting decayed moldy mess. You should not only have spare roofing materials on hand, but know how to make repairs.
