I love making the dogs treats so I wanted to share this recipe (my dog LOVES cheese). I have already got some dog bone-shaped cookie cutters so I’ve decided I’d like these carrot and cheese treats to be just a little thicker and chewier so I have decided to cook them in more of a cookie shape. These homemade dog treats are the perfect way to tell your pooch that you love them! And believe me, they will love you back too!

  • 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
  • 2-3 tbsp. grated dried cheese (Parmesan)
  • 1/2 lb. lean ground beef, cooked and finely minced (or one small can of tuna in water-do not drain)
  • 1 large carrot, peeled and finely grated
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 c. beef or chicken broth (if you use tuna, you don’t need the broth)

*** WARNING – I have edited out the garlic on the ingredients list above, dogs should NOT be given garlic as it is poisonous! Please do NOT feed your pooch garlic, miss that out of this recipe. ***
