How on earth did we manage without washing machines back in the day? Like microwaves and dishwashers, washing machines are often taken for granted until we can’t use them. Washing clothes by hand has it’s uses; you use less energy, less water than washing machines, and may be less likely to cause damage. It’s also a handy skill to know if you’re travelling or god forbid, your power goes out!

You can use a washing board, or a corrugated metal sheet in a wooden frame. You just rub the fabric against it so it will loosen the dirt from your clothes, you can wash your laundry in a sink, bathtub whichever is easier!
