Setting up takes a little bit of prep, but once you have your area ready, the fun, mess and squeals of joy begin! Materials needed: small balloons, balloon pump, washable paint, plastic darts, thumbtacks, canvas or white foam board with white butcher paper taped over it and large drop cloth to cover the mess.

 

Just remember: It’s a super messy project — Try blowing into the balloons slightly before adding the paint so it falls right to the bottom instead of getting on the edges. Wear old clothes because sometimes the balloon explosions are huge! I would also recommend having your kids wear sunglasses to protect their eyes from paint splatter.
